We specialise in traditional linens, mainly pure Irish linen sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers, also table linens, traditional huckaback towels for the bathroom and linen kitchen/tea towels.
It's important to mention that all items labelled 'linen' to be found in our online shop are exactly as described - they derive from the fibres of Linum usitatissimum, the blue-flowered flax plant. This is an important distinction, for our pure Irish linens are produced entirely within the EU from ecologically sustainable sources and under sweatshop-free conditions. For these reasons alone, Irish linen is more desirable than synthetic fabrics and mass produced cotton (certified organic cotton excepted), not forgetting flax linen's superior durability and characterful qualities.
Our collection of Vintage Bohemian style guest books, photo albums and memory boxes are truly unique. Although a few are designed specifically for weddings, any of these items would be wonderful for other occasions and celebrations, such as milestone birthdays and anniversaries. Wrapped in handmade lokta and mulberry papers, our guest books, albums and keepsake boxes are embellished with such adornments as hand woven silk dupion fabrics, real pressed flowers and handmade pure silk roses. Most designs include authentic antique and early vintage lace remnants, dating from the Victorian and Edwardian eras through to the 1940s.
Additionally, we offer a small collection of butler's trays, cupboards, tables and cabinets - all hand built from solid mango wood derived from spent orchard grown fruit trees. The furniture is distressed for lovers of 'shabby' style. Also, a collection of coloured glass cabinet knobs to bejewel your doors and furniture.
