Aside from its traditional use to shower the happy couple, Lily Rose & Wylde hand blended flower confetti looks beautiful placed in glass bowls or vintage drinks glasses. Or, it can be strewn across the table to impart a sense of abandoned rapture!

How much does a litre of dried flower petals weigh?
When comparing prices for dried flower petals, it's worth mentioning that some suppliers sell their products by the litre volume - in other words, the amount of dried plant material which will fill a 1 litre size measuring jug.
A litre of petals may sound like a generous quantity, but it's not an accurate measure. Rosebuds, for instance, are denser and therefore heavier than rose petals. So a full litre volume of dried rosebuds weighs around 150g, whereas a litre of rose petals weighs around 50g. Larkspur petals are the lightest of all, a full litre volume weighing as little as 19g.
So we prefer to sell our natural flower confetti by weight rather than volume. Our reasonably priced air-dried flower confetti mixture comes in quantities of 50g ,100g, 150g and 200g.
Additionally, we offer several popular dried flowers individually packaged, including pink rosebuds, red rose petals, blue mallow with its amethyst hue, creamy Roman chamomile florets and vibrant blue cornflower petals. Due to the differing densities of the plant material (as explained above), a 100g bag of rose petals, for example, will look bigger than a 100g pack of rosebuds.
A guide to quantities required for natural flower confetti
The art of flower strewing and cone filling is not an exact science, and thus the following is only a rough guide. As explained above, different flowers have differing densities, and thus the amount required will depend entirely on the type of flower(s) used. The following guide relates to the Lily Rose & Wylde confetti blend.
100g of our dried flower confetti blend will fill about 10-12 average size confetti cones. An average size cone is approximately 17cm tall and about 6cm across the widest part.
For a light scattering of petals along a pathway of one metre wide, you will need approximately 150g of petals for every metre length.
For a light scattering of table confetti, you will need about 150g for 9-10 large banqueting tables.
For a veritable org of petals as illustrated in the painting above, you will need considerably more.
Storage and Shelf-Life of Dried Flower Confetti
Dried flowers should be kept in well sealed bags and stored in a cool, dry, dark place such as a cupboard or drawer. Stored at room temperature, they should retain their natural colours and characteristic aromas for at least 12 months from the date of purchase.
Bespoke Confetti Cones and Flower Girl Basket

We'd be delighted to make you a set of beautiful confetti cones if you wish. These we fashion from extra thick handmade paper which is firm enough to stand up without curling. If desired, we could also decorate each cone with a single pressed flower of your choice, such as a deep red or pink/cream rose. Additionally, a long-handled natural wicker basket bedecked in ribbons is available in which to carry the cones.
We will decorate the basket in a romantic free-flowing style, using an abundant quantity of double sided satin ribbons in the colour combination of your choice. For example, cream and burgundy ribbons as shown in the image below.
