Lloyd Loom is named after its American inventor, Marshall B. Lloyd, who in 1917 patented a specialised loom for the manufacture of wicker furniture. Lloyd loom is made from twisted Kraft paper, the upright strands reinforced with steel wire, resulting in an attractive woven fibre of impressive strength.

Lloyd Loom furniture, unlike natural wicker and cane, is smooth to the touch, with no sharp joints in the weave which can snag clothing.  It doesn't bend, distort or creak when used, but retains its natural springiness. It's also the perfect choice for the conservatory as it's not affected by heat, or bright sunlight.

Painted or natural, Lloyd Loom looks good wherever it's placed - be it the conservatory, living room, kitchen, dining room or bedroom. It's also reasonably priced and built to last - indeed, with care your beautiful Lloyd Loom furniture will endure for many years.

Lloyd Loom Grey Lloyd Loom furniture is available in either a natural or painted finish. Any piece can be spray painted in the colour of your choice, using a Farrow & Ball paint suitable for Lloyd Loom furniture.

If, for example, you purchase four dining chairs and require one of two standard colours - either antique white or soft grey as shown in the image above, then the furniture can be painted free of charge.  The charge for painting 1-3 chairs in antique white or soft grey is £28.  Alternatively, you may choose any other colour from Farrow & Ball paint charts.

 Caring For Lloyd Loom Furniture

Lloyd Loom is easy to care for and usually only needs to be dusted once in a while with a cloth duster.  It also benefits from an occasional vacuum clean, using the upholstery brush attachment. If necessary, Lloyd Loom can also be cleaned with soapy water. Simply wipe it over using a cloth moistened in a weak solution of washing up liquid in warm water. Stubborn marks may require slightly firmer treatment, using a soft brush and a weak solution of washing up liquid.  After washing your furniture, wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
