![]() Irish Linen Huckaback Fabric
Huckaback weave is characterised by its 'honeycomb' texture and has been used since the Middle Ages. It's purpose is to add greater volume to linen fabric, thus enhancing its drying abilities. Interestingly, huckaback towels pre-date our modern terry cloth towels, which made their debut in the late 19th century.
Available by the metre, pure Irish linen huckaback fabric is ideal for making your own hand/face towels, shaving towels, guest towels, kitchen towels and bathrobes. A towel made from Irish linen huckaback fabric is lightweight, easily dried and packs away neatly, making it ideal for travelling.
