This extra wide pure Irish line fabric is an amazing 300cm width(almost 10ft).

Woven by master weavers, Thomas Ferguson, this is a medium weight Irish linen made from high quality flax yarns. It's available in both oyster white and natural flax/ecru. It has an excellent drape and soft texture and is perfect for table linens, bed spreads, extra wide curtains and other soft furnishings.

Care of Pure Linen Fabrics

As with all natural fabrics, there will be some shrinkage after the first wash. When making curtains, for example, please allow an extra 5-10 cm hem length to account for any natural shrinkage after laundering for the first time.

For general care of your pure Irish linen, we recommend that it's machine washed at 40-50 degrees C. using a gentle eco-friendly laundry product like Ecover Laundry Liquid. Such products are free of chlorine bleach and optical whiteners, both of which tend to weaken linen fabrics if used frequently. Pure linen should always be ironed whilst still slightly damp. Please don't tumble dry your Irish linen as this will result in deep creases, thus making the fabric very difficult to iron.

When shopping around to find the best prices for pure flax linen fabrics, please take into account that this is a medium weight pure Irish linen, woven from high quality flax yarns. It's the same width as our Irish linen sheeting fabric, being a generous 300cm - that's almost 10ft wide.

How to Obtain Fabric Swatches

We have a limited supply of plain linen fabric swatches available. However, additional swatches of the full range of Thomas Ferguson linen fabrics, including damask table linens, are obtainable directly from the weavers in Northern Ireland. They normally make a charge for fabric swatches, although when you subsequently purchase your fabrics by the metre from Lily Rose & Wylde you will benefit from our generously discounted prices.

You don't need a PayPal account in order to use this service. Alternatively, payment can be made by telephone, cheque or bank transfer.

The natural unbleached linen in 300cm (10ft) width has sold out - so please don't add to the shopping basket below or we will need to refund your payment! More is currently in production and will be available again from August 2012.

Orders for fabrics are normally completed within 7-14 working days. Postage is a flat-rate of only £2.50, irrespective of the size of your order.
