This is by far our most popular wedding guest book design. The book is covered back and front in champagne coloured handloom raw silk dupion fabric, with its characteristic texture and slubby weave.
The front cover we've embellished with two pieces of pale ivory coloured cotton guipure lace with sinuous floral design. The lace was made in France in the early 1920s - an antique piece beloved by collectors. To this we've incorporated six top quality jewellery grade freshwater pearls in lustrous white. If you choose the larger size book, the two pieces of lace will be longer and will incorporate 8 freshwater pearls.
Please note: the spine of the book is wrapped in another piece of vintage cotton lace - this will vary from one project to another, depending on available supplies at the time. For the time being, the main 1920s guipure lace sweeping across the front cover will be exactly as shown in these images.
The presentation box lid is covered in either handmade unbleached lokta paper - or unbleached banana and jute fibre paper, whichever material is available when we come to work on your project.
If you opt for the larger format book, the outer edge of box will be decorated with a border of vintage lace. The lace edging will vary from one presentation box to another, as our stock of vintage lace trim is constantly being replenished.
The box lid is decorated with a pressed pink rose gathered from the garden. The flower is sealed with a decoupage finishing product which will help protect against the detrimental effects of humidity and UV light, thus helping to preserve the delicate colours of the rose.
In the option boxes below, alternatively you can choose to have a pure silk dupion rose and pearls to embellish the box lid - positioned on the left hand corner of the box.
Or, the box can be left plain with no roses.
The high quality guest book has 40 unlined sheets of acid-free, handmade linen paper in pale cream (image immediately below shows larger size book with soft white sheets). The front cover of the guest book is padded. The presentation box lid is also padded.

The inside of the guest book hard cover, back and front, is embellished with unbleached banana paper as shown above.
Size of book: 15 x 23cm (6 x 9.4 inches) with 40 sheets, the box is a little larger.
LARGER SIZE GUEST BOOK OPTION
This design can be transposed to our larger size guest book if preferred. The larger book is heavier in weight, having a padded front cover and 40 handmade linen paper sheets (80 writing sides), colour soft white. With its heavier weight paper, this guest book can be used as a photo album as well.
Dimensions: 20.32cm x 25.5 cm, 8x10 inches, the presentation box is a little larger and has a padded lid.
