Lily Rose & Wylde Handmade Bohemian Style Guest book with presentation box

A unique handmade wedding guest book and presentation box. The book is wrapped back and front in champagne coloured handloomed raw silk dupion fabric with its characteristic texture and slubby weave.
Wrapped across the front of the book is a piece of antique hand worked cotton lace, made in France in the early 1900s. A delicate triangular lattice work lace in deep ivory.
Enveloping the spine of the book is a cafe au lait coloured vintage cotton tulle lace, embroidered with tiny flowers and having a scalloped edge.
The gorgeous art nouveau reproduction solid brass filigree butterfly is plated in oxidised (darkened) sterling silver to impart an antique appearance. This process also enhances the intricate design. To this we've added a lustrous white freshwater pearl.
Below you can see the exquisite detail of the butterfly filligree, which looks gorgeous with the deep ivory coloured 1930s lace. We offer the same design butterfly in solid antiqued brass if preferred.

The presentation box lid is covered in handmade unbleached lokta paper, embellished with a pressed pink rose gathered from the garden. The flower is sealed with a matte decoupage finishing product designed to protect pressed flowers against the detrimental effects of UV light and atmospheric moisture, thus helping to conserve the delicate colours for many years.
If you opt for the larger format guest book, the outer edge of the presentation box lid will be embellished with a border of vintage lace trim. As we use only vintage textiles, the trim used will vary from one presentation box to another, making each box unique.

The high quality guest book has 40 unlined sheets of acid-free, handmade linen paper in pale cream (image immediately below shows larger book with soft white paper sheets). The front cover of the guest book is padded. The presentation box lid is also padded.

The inside of the guest book hard cover, back and front, is embellished with unbleached textured banana fibre paper as shown above.
Size of book: 15 x 23cm (6 x 9.4 inches) with 40 sheets, the box is a little larger.
LARGER SIZE GUEST BOOK OPTION
This design can be transposed to our larger size guest book if preferred. The larger book is heavier in weight, having a padded front cover and 40 handmade linen paper sheets (80 writing sides), colour off-white/pale ivory. With its heavier weight paper, this guest book can be used as a photo album as well.
Dimensions: 20.32cm x 25.5 cm, 8x10 inches, the presentation box is a little larger and has a padded lid.
