This design is strictly limited edition - very few books can ever be made in exactly the same way as there is only a limited supply of this gorgeous antique/early vintage lace which was made in Calais c.1920s-30s. In choosing this design, you will have an extra special book embellished with an antique French lace beloved by collectors - and thus, a guest book of heirloom quality.

We've named this enchanting wedding guest book "Eternity". The book is wrapped front and back in champagne coloured handloomed silk dupion fabric, with its characteristic texture and slubby weave.
Across the front cover is a piece of truly exquisite champagne coloured antique French lace with a delightful sweeping floral design embroidered in pure silk threadwork. The lace was made in Calais in the late 1920s-early 1930s. The silk emboridery has been done on a fine 100% cotton tulle.
The overall design of this guest book was inspired by the 1920's flapper girl fashions, which embraced French embroidered lace, decorative silk headbands and rose corsages!
As an alternative to the champagne silk rose, you can opt to have a shaded dusky pink/ivory pure silk corsage rose.
Enveloping the book spine is a beautiful piece of antique handmade Irish crochet lace in soft ivory cotton, featuring a dimensional rose design. This lace is very old, having been made in the early 1900s.
The French lace on the front cover we've edged with a beautiful 100% pure silk ribbon - much more delicate than the usual cheap polyester ribbons. The colour of the ribbon is ivory - although you can opt for a champagne pink ribbon if preferred, shown immediately below with a similar antique French lace.
Additionally, you can choose to have the lace embellished with real freshwater pearls - these are available in either shell pink or lustrous white as shown in the following two images.
Unless you choose the undecorated box, the box lid features a panel of unbleached handmade lokta and jute fibre paper, embellished with a real pressed rose gathered from the garden. The rose is protected with a coating of silky decoupage finishing product to help preserve the delicate colours and protect from UV light.
If you choose the larger size guest book, it will include a border of vintage lace trim around the edge. As we use only vintage textiles, the trim used will vary from one presentation box to another, making each box unique. The larger size book will also have a slightly wider pure silk ribbon to fit the bigger space on the front cover.
Instead of a pressed rose on the box, you may opt for a matching pure silk corsage rose and pearls. Below is an example of a box decorated with an ivory silk rose and white. If you choose the pink/ivory silk rose for the book cover, the same colourway will be used for box.
The high quality guest book has 40 unlined sheets of acid-free, handmade linen paper in pale cream. The front cover of the guest book is slightly padded.

The inside of the guest book hard cover, back and front, is embellished with unbleached lokta paper as shown above.
Size of book: 15 x 23cm (6 x 9.4 inches) with 40 sheets, the box is a little larger.

Jumbo Size Guest Book Special Order
This design could be transposed to our largest square shaped size guest book, but will need additional lace, pearls and other adaptations to fill the larger space. The dimensions are given below. If you are interested in the jumbo size book, please contact us for further information. Suffice to say, the jumbo size book is priced at £12 more than the large 70-page book described previously.
