This design comprises an image printed from an old sepia photograph, which is arranged against a torn fragment of handmade mulberry/banana fibre paper. The tangled yet silky texture of the paper is reminiscent of the boy's tousled hair and blades of grass. Two pressed leaves placed randomly complete the composition.  

 

The collage is sealed with a protective decoupage varnish which gives a silken finish. 

 

For a special gift, fill with handmade chocolates, crystallised edible flowers, sewing threads, bottle of essential oil or perfume, little tablets of handmade soap - or perhaps an item of jewellery. 

 

On the other hand, this design is less feminine in quality than the others featured here, and thus might appeal to a young boy or even a grown-up boy!  If so, we're sure you will think of something suitable to put in the tin, perhaps as a Christmas stocking filler.

 

    Even when presented empty, it makes a delightful keepsake.
