Important Announcement - Major Changes Online Shop

After much thought, we have made the decision to discontinue offering the majority of our French reproduction furniture ranges, including the popular French style sink vanity units. Why have we decided to axe such a large proportion of our online catalogue? As existing customers will know, we have been offering fabulous looking French style and French reproduction furniture at highly competitive prices. This has been possible because we don't have a high street shop or showroom with associated high overheads. Individual items of furniture we ordered directly from the manufacturer/wholesaler, then arranged delivery directly to our customers though our trusted dedicated furniture carrier.
The main problem with this arrangement was that we were unable to examine each piece of furniture before it left the wholesaler's warehouse - and thus, any damage or manufacturing faults were easily missed by our furniture carrier, who did his best to check items for any obvious faults before loading on to the delivery vehicle.
Sadly, our main UK distributer/wholesaler proved to be very unreliable, making numerous errors with our orders and often refusing to accept responsibility for manufacturing faults and other anomalies discovered after delivery. Furthermore, we are still struggling to receive money owed to us as a result of the wholesaler's poor customer service and inept accounting.
However, we continue to offer a small collection of made-to-order French Louis reproduction beds, handcrafted and carved from Indonesian plantation grown solid mahogany. These beds are beautifully made and are popular with our customers.
Additionally, we will continue offering the robustly built 'shabby chic' style furniture with antiqued white and natural limed finishes, including butler's trays, kitchen cupboards and tables - all handcrafted in Bali from solid mango wood.
As customer satisfaction is our priority, we will continue to do our utmost to source high quality products - our beautiful Irish linens forever taking pride of place. We also intend to focus more on the handmade accessories aspect of our business, especially our popular bohemian style wedding guest books, flower girl baskets and vintage bohemian style jewellery.
We apologise for any disappointment caused as a result of the recent changes, although we trust you will understand the reasons why we needed to take this action.
